3KM614 – BALISES
Sophie Matter
Palais de l'Île
In connection with Annecy Paysages 2019, the participative work “3km614 – Balises” by artist Sophie Matter, presented permanently in the Palais de l’Île itinerary, emerges from the monument. A symbolic representation of the Thiou River, this string of pearls made of rocks inside the Palais turns into a water line composed of floaters at the island’s back bow.
The Palais de l’Île, a historical monument, hosts permanent and temporary exhibits on architecture and cultural heritage. It also has a program of contemporary artworks.
