Will Ryman poses a 3-meter-high bouquet of blue roses as if it were part of the “natural” vegetation in the Jardins de l’Europe. In this sculpture-installation in painted plastic resin, the artist’s perspective puts a new face on nature.

American artist Will Ryman was born in 1969 and worked as a playwright for 12 years. He is the son of Robert Ryman, a minimalist painter, and Merrill Wagner, also a painter. In 2011 his sculptures of roses were installed on Park Avenue Mall in New York.
