Taken from nearby Mont Blanc, three enormous blocks of granite—chunks of the mountain—have been placed in the jardins de l’Europe, bringing nature into the heart of the city. If someone tried to sculpt a maxim on the rocks’ faces, it’s to remind us that the world is “an indivisible whole” and we all share the same destiny.

Born in Switzerland in 1971, eco-artist, graphic artist, and photographer Laurence Piaget-Dubuis uses art to raise awareness regarding what’s at stake today in the relationship between humans and their environment. In particular, she is the author of several artistic projects related to climate change in the Alps. Her work has been exhibited internationally (2003 United Nations conference on water in Dushanbe, Tajikistan; 21st Conference of the Parties (COP) on climate (Paris, 2015); and the Swiss pavilion at the 2017 Universal Exhibition in Astana, Kazakhstan).

Born in Switzerland in 1975, an architect and urban planner specializing in the development of public space, Hervé Savioz earned degrees from École polytechnique fédérale de Lausanne (EPFL) and Université de Genève (UNIGE). After nearly 15 years as an independent architect, he became an urban planner for a local government in French-speaking Switzerland. He now works a step ahead of the architect, imagining and designing public spaces that are sustainable and resilient.

Born in France in 1970, for more than 20 years artist/sculptor Pat Méo has been working with stone and marble, combining them with wood and other materials. His work is part of private collections and his monumental installations and sculptures are exhibited frequently.
